Underground Construction Foreman
Minneapolis, MN / Travel RequiredFull Time
Lead underground fiber installation crews. Directional boring, trenching, and conduit placement experience required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise underground fiber installation crews (3-6 technicians)
- Execute underground drops using boring, trenching, and plow methods
- Coordinate utility locates and ensure compliance with damage prevention protocols
- Ensure quality installation and proper conduit/fiber placement depth
- Complete daily production reports and crew time tracking
- Maintain equipment and enforce safety protocols
Requirements
- 5+ years underground utility or telecom construction experience
- 3+ years crew leadership or foreman experience
- Proficiency with directional boring equipment (Ditch Witch, Vermeer, etc.)
- Valid CDL preferred
- OSHA 30 and utility damage prevention training
Nice to Have
- Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) experience
- Confined space and trench safety certifications
- Experience with fiber network builds for ISPs or municipalities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Compensation
Hourly rate $28-38/hour based on experience. Weekly pay, overtime, per diem, company truck, tool allowance, health benefits, and 401(k).
