Dedicated Circuit Installation
When an appliance or piece of equipment shares a circuit with everything else, you get nuisance trips, voltage drops, and unnecessary wear. A dedicated circuit gives it the power it needs — and nothing else competes for it.
Why Dedicated Circuits Matter
Large appliances and sensitive equipment behave badly on shared circuits: breakers trip mid-cycle, motors run hot, and computers reboot for no obvious reason. Electrical code also requires dedicated circuits for many fixed appliances. If a breaker trips every time the microwave and toaster run together, the circuit — not the appliances — is usually the problem.
Common Uses
These are the situations we see most often in homes and businesses across Minnesota.
- Refrigerators and freezers
- Sump pumps and sewage pumps
- Home office and computer equipment
- Medical equipment
- Garage and workshop equipment
- Space heaters and window AC units
- Commercial kitchen and office equipment
How We Install Them
A dedicated circuit starts at the panel and ends with a test under load. We confirm panel capacity first — and tell you honestly if a panel upgrade makes more sense than another breaker.
- Panel capacity and space evaluation
- New branch circuit routed to the equipment location
- Correct breaker sizing and wire gauge for the load
- Receptacle installation and circuit labeling
- Testing under real operating load
